Epson Philippines Evolves Its Business Paradigm for Growth and Success
Two milestones in the first quarter of 2008 mark Epson Philippines' commitment to this new paradigm: the launch of the Epson Solution Center (ESC) and the appointments of two new General Managers, Eduardo Bonoan and Anna Maria Ferro.

Seeking to double its current revenue of P1.8B in the next five years, Epson Philippines, the country's leader in digital imaging and printing, is building a new business reality anchored on innovation.

Amid today's complex corporate environments, the company is fusing technological expertise with creative insight to provide effective and strategic solutions. Two milestones in the first quarter of 2008 mark Epson Philippines' commitment to this new paradigm: the launch of the Epson Solution Center (ESC) and the appointments of two new General Managers, Eduardo Bonoan and Anna Maria Ferro.

Epson Solution Center
While other digital providers employ a broad-based approach that overlooks crucial details, the Solution Center delivers a tailored response that solves even the most intricate business dilemma.

"The concept behind the Epson Solution Center is simple," said Epson Philippines President Hideto Nakamura. "Every business has different demands. And so the best way to spur them forward is to create customized solutions that respond to these demands. We do not simply provide technology, we creatively solve business problems."

Setting it apart from simple showrooms where gadgets are simply exhibited on shelves, the Solution Center is a one-stop hub where customers can consult with Epson specialists to design, create and demonstrate business solutions even before a costly purchase is made.

The Epson Solution Center-the second of its kind in the South and Southeast Asian regions-forms part of a US $70 million investment to increase market share in business products across the region over the next 3 years. The sizable investment by Seiko Epson Corporation reflects the vital role of Epson Philippines in making Epson operations in Asia successful.

New General Managers
In order to realize the potential of the Epson Solution Center and other similar initiatives, Epson Philippines has appointed two General Managers to oversee its effective implementation.

Eduardo Bonoan will act as General Manager, Division Head - Sales & Marketing; while Anna Maria Ferro will serve as Senior General Manager, Division Head - Customer Service & Human Resources and Administration. Both designations were specifically created in order to support Epson Philippines in its drive to grow the brand's market share in the fast growing business IT peripherals market. The new business segment will complement Epson's solid growth in the consumer sector.

Bonoan, a former Executive Managing Director for Information & Communication Technology at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Country Head for Sun Microsystems Philippines, says: "I am delighted to be joining Epson Philippines at a time of growth. Epson already enjoys strong brand equity among consumers in retail segment in the Philippines, and I will work to expand our digital imaging leadership on the business and corporate level."

"It is a privilege for me to be a part of Epson's success story," adds Ferro, who has held senior regional roles in management and operation functions at Fuji Xerox Philippines and at a leadership management consultancy. "It is an exciting time as Epson has turned its focus on reinforcing its position in the competitive business IT segment.  We will be introducing new initiatives to support Epson's new business direction."

With the launching of the Epson Solution Center and the appointments of two new General Managers, Epson Philippines is stepping into a bold, new direction that is set to increase the brand's market share and sales in both the country and the region-driving Epson to the next level of success.
