The individual advantage

Apart from Epson PictureMate compact photo printers, every other inkjet printer model from Epson uses individual ink cartridges. Ranging from models using four-colour Epson DURABrite Ultra pigment inks, to photo printers using six-colour Epson Claria Photo inks, to our top-of-the line Epson Stylus Pro professional photo printers that feature up to 11 separate ink colours; Epson individual ink cartridges help optimise printer performance and give customers tremendous cost savings; all while helping to reduce their environmental impact. This individual ink cartridge technology is branded as “INKdividual” for Epson’s DURABrite Ultra pigment and Epson Claria photo inks.

Cost savings

Not everyone’s printing needs are the same and so, users consume different ink colours at varying rates. Inkjet printers from other brands (especially entry level and low end models) may use composite cartridges with multiple coloured inks that will stop working once any single colour is depleted – even though there may be a lot of the other coloured inks remaining. Epson individual inks help users save money and maximise ink usage by allowing them to replace only the ink colour that has run out.

Lower environmental impact

Changing only the coloured ink cartridge that has run out not only maximises the use of the ink, but also helps lower the environmental impact of ink cartridge disposal. There is no wastage from throwing away unused ink; and thanks to Epson’s ultra-reliable Micro Piezo print head technology, Epson’s individual ink cartridges do not need attached print heads, making them more affordable to buy and easier to recycle.
